Labeled 'carefree run'. So IN is the other game that's a turn-off for me. About a month or two before this run on 12/18 I just got a taste of the normal difficulty where Marisa absolutely stomped me. Then again on another attempt. Those bad memories kept me away for a while. I only stayed on it long enough to unlock Yukari's Last Word. After consulting the Wiki I had a little more knowledge of the scoring mechanics of the game, but to me that only said 'fire unfocused until dead' as I did not know most of the enemy orders, or when to destroy them when they deploy their slaves. So a not-so-serious run with a death to one of the slaves to remind me...what was it? That's all I can say for now. Messy, not really focused but I wanted to play something from IN. It was surprising to capture all five last spells, but this is easy mode after all.

It had been a while since I gave Sakuya a go on storyline so here's a run with her on a safe difficulty. She was quite fun on the stage portion of three and four, but there was a new problem. I had too many bombs. That's just an alarm setter for me. Those little blue stars look so precious, and to have so many and to lose so many if I were to die...that's when the anxiety sets in. Oh well, I'll try to be extra careful. Let's nitpick. _____________________________________ So I don't have any super border grazing plans for the first three stages and it hurts my score later. No surprise there. I don't know why I picked Merlin. I pretty much never go against her so management of cherry was off because I have the bomb hoarding issue looming about. It definitely shows when the border is activated way too soon for Concerto Grosso. I would have stayed for it a bit longer but fear of error got through to me again. Shot a little, decided to stop, too late. Let's see, had a little debate with myself just be

My first Extra clear in the series and the only replay I've saved within the first month of getting into Touhou Project. How I wish I kept record of my first easy 1CC. Things will never be the same...-------------By the time I was through with this run I had faced Chen's first spell card around 60 times (and failed it 95% of the time with my 'bomb the card' strat) and had a total of 176 attempts. And yes, all that time I never studied the stage and let the same groups of items slip by. All I could see were 'fast' bullets aimed at or near me. Why, the completion percentage actually mattered! I just couldn't believe those little bars each constituted for a spell card when I first reached her with a life or two.

Same run posted before, etc.------Ah, I was hoping to break 1.2 but at least I don't have to stare at 990M at the top of her record page now. I realized I still don't have a successful method for some portions of stage 4, and thus I break a few borders very prematurely. Yes, I know the death fairy is static, but I couldn't remember how I went about handing the attack and so the risk-reward wasn't worth it this time. Memory didn't serve me well earlier and I got myself killed on Resurrected Tibetan Dolls. Even then, I should have been able to handle it with freeform dodging and I should be ashamed for expecting to get a free go pass on a spell that's easier than its normal counterpart. That makes history 14/16 now. I don't know what I was doing on the Prismriver Sisters' first spell. I was more concerned with not getting a border off on time (blame my lack of experience with certain waves of Lunasa's second noncard and trying to be done with it as soon as possible) and died anyway, but at least the bord

Same run posted before, but now with text descriptions that weren't included (didn't add a password).----------It's a relatively bad run but only noteworthy because it was my first run to break 1 billion. I was 'tidying up' records for less frequently played characters (Reimu B is my pick, yes) and got this as a nice surprise. I only like to look back on it because of the slim margin by which I broke nine digits. If it weren't for the last three items the border vacuumed to me at the very end, pushing my item count to 1,400... Actually, there was a 10-miss one bomb at the beginning of stage one normal run with Marisa A that was even closer to the edge at 1.0068 bil. After I realized just how much cherry is penalized for bombing with such a character I opted out to not bomb at all when faced with certain death. Yes, I really need to do the math to determine which portions are worst to bomb, and if it even matters with such a low CherryMax attained at my current level of ability.

Hmm, how about this run? There are several mistakes made which I would consider worthy of retrying the game, but this wasn't Reimu B so I figured why not go through to the end instead of nitpicking at early mistakes. Notable are my two misses on Chen's Flight of Idaten and bombing Alice's second noncard because I already forgot the usual path and lack freeform dodging experience. Oh, and I move away before fully shooting down a fairy on stage four. Out of bombs I go ahead and run into a bullet as I cannot stand to lose point items like that. What if I did the math...well, a lot of the point items were now replaced by power items, had I not killed myself I probably would have only lost points from three fairies. Then again, the side shots do close in so I may have lost the opportunity to run to the POC for the fairies I take out on the right side, not to mention the now poorly timed border for the red bullet clumps. There's also a major screw-up on the waves after Lily. I make the same mist

Since I don't do much besides play video games, this is about the best contribution I can provide besides my heartfelt emotion. This run is dedicated to a dear friend of my family who recently passed away from cancer. Someone suggested I play PCB and I kind of equated "death" to "Yuyuko" which sort of inspired me, though during the actual fight I was oddly overcome by emotion and started doing stupid things. I would not let it end halfway though. As cheesy as it sounds, my resolve towards the end was my way of saying I admire her own in fighting the cancer as long as she did. Rest in peace, Jane.

Could have salvaged the border for the small bullet waves (again) if I did a pre-emptive bomb or knew how to, surprise, handle the last two fairy groups. Ah, I definitely deserved that end death at the last half-second of her health for my antics. I knew it should have collided or my character really was side-by-side with the bullet, hence the second bomb, but it eventually gets its revenge. This one's a keeper.

This is what I would label a normal run by my personal standards today. Sakuya's speed is very...I need to practice more with it. I just felt like spending bombs left and right, and maybe I might learn something. Diagonal movements with the keyboard had me thinking for a bit. Sometimes, maybe all the time I'll shift a bit in one of the two directions before both keys are registering. It stood out on another run with Reimu when I made diagonal taps on Yukari's first spell. Pressing down and left I first moved down which sent me into a collision with the stream next to me. Same on this run during Border of Life and Death where I try to pass through the waves of small white blue bullets. Ah, where am I going with this. It just brings to attention something that usually never happens and creates a new fear before me. Just like Satori's Terrible Recollection and Orin's last noncard where I ran into bullets that I assumed left the screen but never paid attention because habit had set out the path for me
