| Marisa heard the local shrine maiden was having problems, so she brings along a few flamethrowers to 'help out'. The flamethrowers work a lot like Remilia's familiars in IN, except they have really weak projects and really strong flames. Settting up correctly can make some cards really trivial, especially those where the boss doesn't move (and guess what the stage 6 doesn't do on the final card! <_<) There were some silly mistakes, so I end up finishing 1/5. |

| Here's my feeble attempt at a run, so that I can point people to it and illustrate what I'm talking about. It is in most respects a fine run - but for two things. I die once on Sanae, which drops at least 300 million points if not more, nearly halving my score. Then I just barely miss being at 5.00 power for some Kanako attacks by a hair (another 200 million or so down the drain), and fail her last three spellcards due to simply not caring much anymore. Reimu C is nice for stages and places you can shotgun the boss... but if you can shotgun the boss, the attack is easy anyhow. Her damage is terrible vs everything that is actually difficult, such as Sanae's dense attacks, Kanako's knife spellcard, Kanako's streaming spellcard (not that that's possible on Easy anyhow) and Mountain of Faith. This is everything that angers me about the game, basically. |

| A better Hard run... marginally. Reimu A and some better management pulled me through, although my management failed just enough to screw me over in places it mattered. I should have intentionally died on Kanako's next to last card before finishing it - it's absolutely vital to get in every bit of damage you can on Wind God's Virtues while it's still in easy mode, especially with a low power character. |

| Hard clear, the second attempt I ever made of it - first attempt fell short on Kanako on her normal right before Winds of Virtue/Mountain of Faith. (Normal got 1cc'd on first try.) My best early performance by far, I think, and the only death that I got hit with was a random stray bullet on stage 4 all the way up to stage 6. Sanae is delightfully evil in Hard, much improved from her Normal version, and I approve. Kanako is just freaking nuts, compromising of most of the challenge of the run itself. Welp, well, Lunatic awaits. |

Actually quite easy with Reimu A, as being unfocused doesn't cost her any shot power... assuming you accept the fact that you will bomb all the dense attacks, which is nearly everything on stages 4 and 5 and several patterns on 6. Still, I'm impressed with how much I managed to make myself capture. |
